Only Army Personnel can obtain the CAC middleware on AKO/DKO at this time. To locate the CAC middleware:
- Log into AKO/DKO.
- Click on ‘Quick Links’.
- Click on ‘CAC’.
- Click on ‘CAC Resource Center’.
- Click on the ‘Install ActivClient (software)’ link located on the right side of the page.

Help Desk support for CAC middleware
There is no help desk support available to assist in loading or configuring the software on non-GFE (Government Furnished Equipment) computers; nor is there any assistance available for any problems resulting from the user of the software on a non-GFE computer. If you are using a GFE computer, contact your local DOIM (Directorate of Information Management) or IT support team for further assistance.
